Meet The Founders

Learn from Seasoned IR Professionals Who Understand Your World

We are interventional radiology technologists with real-world lab experience. We understand the demands of IR and the lack of structured education designed for the technologist’s role. That’s why every lesson is focused on practical skills, clear boundaries, and repeatable techniques that support confident, professional performance in the IR suite.

Like many IR techs, our backgrounds began in diagnostic imaging and procedural environments where patient care, sterile technique, and adaptability were essential. But transitioning into interventional radiology revealed something quickly: IR is a specialty that demands precision, anticipation, and confidence — yet most technologists are left to learn it on the fly.

We created Scrubbed and Wired to address a gap that nearly all interventional radiology techs experience - being expected to perform at a high level without access to structured tech-specific education.

Scrubbed and Wired exists to support IR technologists at every stage — whether you’re new to the specialty, transitioning from another modality, or refining your skills after years in the lab.

What makes Scrubbed and Wired different is simple: we’re not just another content channel — we’re a complete learning platform. Instead of scattered videos, random tips, or isolated discussions, we’ve created a full, organized library that supports both beginner and advanced technologists. Every video builds on the last, so you’re not left piecing together your education from many different places.

It’s all here, under one roof — structured, efficient, and designed specifically from the technologist’s perspective.

This platform was created by IR techs, for IR techs —because your role matters.

Jen

Hi, I’m Jen, an Interventional Radiology Technologist with over 20 years of experience in medical imaging and 8 years as a Lead IR Technologist. My career has been built on adaptability, technical excellence, and a deep understanding of procedural workflow across multiple specialties.

I completed my formal education in Radiologic Technology from 2004 to 2006, earning an Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology from Carrington College (formerly Apollo College) in Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating, I moved to Massachusetts, where I spent 9 years at New England Baptist Hospital, working primarily in
diagnostic radiography with extensive experience in special procedures and operating room imaging. This foundation strengthened my procedural confidence, sterile technique, and collaboration with surgical teams.

In 2015, I relocated to Florida and transitioned into Interventional Radiology for the first time. Entering an IR role with limited in-house support required me to become highly self-directed and resourceful, as both technologists in the department left within my first month. During this time, I independently
developed my IR skill set, focusing on vascular and dialysis procedures, and worked in that role for 3 years.

In 2018, I joined Broward Health Imperial Point Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, where I continue to work today. My experience there expanded to include advanced Interventional Radiology procedures, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology device implants. As a Lead Technologist, I prioritize
organization, efficiency, and mentorship, supporting both physicians and fellow technologists in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.

Through Scrubbed and Wired, I’m passionate about sharing real-world,technologist-driven education that reflects the realities of the procedure room—bridging the gap between theory and practice while empowering technologists to work with confidence, competence, and clarity.

Genie

Hi, I'm Evgenia - but everyone calls me Genie. I'm an Interventional Radiology Technologist based in Florida, where I've been living for the past 12 years. I bring 8 years of hands-on experience across Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, Neuro, and Electrophysiology procedures (implantable devices)

I'm known for being organized, dependable, and calm under pressure. I thrive in fast-paced environments, manage multiple priorities with ease, and stay focused on delivering high-quality, timely procedures. Clear communication is a big part of my practice - whether I'm supporting physicians or guiding patients through complex, high-stress moments

I earned my Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology from Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale in 2017. Before transitioning into healthcare, I completed a Master's Degree in Science (Accounting, Analysis, and Audit) in Russia- a background that sharpened my attention to detail, precision, and analytical thinking

My career began at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in 2017, where I worked in the Radiology Department and later cross-trained into the Cath Lab. During my time there, I gained extensive experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac, Neuro, and Electrophysiology (implantable device) procedures. Concurrently, I worked in an outpatient setting at Unique Interventional Radiology in Miami. In 2022, I expanded my experience through travel assignments with Springboard Healthcare, and in 2024 with Aya.

At the end of 2025, I accepted a full-time position at Broward Health Imperial Point Hospital.
